About this Speaker

JESSICA DAUGHERTY- Principal and Founder, Cause IMPACTS

Cause Impacts is owned and run by Jessica Daugherty, who will act as the Project Manager for any project that should come out of this bench. Her work focuses on enhancing collaboration, equity, and systems change by building cross-sector partnerships and innovative projects that drive change from multiple levels. She has extensive experience in developing programs for public, private, and non-profit entities. She is equally comfortable facilitating large cross-sector workgroups as she is doing extensive statistical analysis. This breadth of experiences and skills allows Jessica to see projects from a birds-eye view and innovate solutions that others may not see. Jessica received her Master of Public Policy from the UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs and Bachelors in Global Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Jessica started her career as a Community Organizer where she organized social justice campaigns from Ghana to Guatemala, and implemented social programming to enhance the lives of women, children, immigrants, and justice-involved individuals. Her background in Community Organizing provides an equity lens to everything she does as she constantly asks the question- “are the people being impacted by this program/policy involved in the planning and implementation of it? If not, how can we change the current process, program, policy?”

Jessica Daugherty has spent close to 15 years conducting robust policy research and developing programs – always with the with the support of representative cross-sector coalitions.  She has specific issue expertise in criminal justice, public safety, education, transportation equity, environmental justice, public health, homelessness, and immigration.
